As your team changes, use this page to see who has access, invite new people, and adjust or revoke access as needed.
Access the User Management page
- Log in to the CloudBolt Platform.
- In the sidebar, select Settings.
- Select User Management.
Managing users requires the Owner permission.
User Management overview
Key areas of the User Management page.
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| User table | A list of all users with columns for First Name, Last Name, Email, and Role, plus a delete action per row. |
| Roles | The role assigned to each user (Admin, Operations, Practitioner, or Stakeholder), which governs their access and permissions across the platform. For what each role can do, see Manage Roles. |
| Add User | A button to invite a new user and assign them a role. |
| Search | A search field to filter the user list by name or email. |
Add a user
- Select Add User.
- In the dialog, enter the user’s Email.
- Choose a Role. The role defaults to Stakeholder.
- Confirm the dialog to add the user.
If the person does not have a CloudBolt account yet, CloudBolt automatically sends them an email invitation. Until they accept it and sign in, their row shows an Invited badge and their role cannot be changed. For the invitation-acceptance steps from the new user’s side, see Manage users.
Change a user’s role
Change a user’s role inline using the Role dropdown in their row. The dropdown becomes available once the user has signed in. Users managed by an external enterprise identity provider show a read-only role that cannot be changed here.
Remove a user
Select the trash icon in the user’s row, then confirm the “Confirm removal of user…” prompt. Removal takes effect immediately; there is no separate deactivate option.
