Connections

Manage the cloud connections that feed cost and resource data into the CloudBolt Platform

The Connections page lets you manage the cloud accounts from which the CloudBolt Platform ingests cost and resource data. Connections are grouped by provider, with at-a-glance health status, account coverage, and testing, editing, and disconnect actions for each one.

Access the Connections page

  1. Log in to the CloudBolt Platform.
  2. In the sidebar, select Settings.
  3. Select Connections.

Connections overview

Each connection is a compact row that expands in place. Select the chevron or connection name to show its identity details, the time of the last health check, and the full list of health checks.

Section Description
Provider sections AWS, Azure, and GCP sections, each listing that provider’s connections with an Add Connection button and a search box for finding connections by name or account ID.
Status badge Connection-level health: Healthy, Failing, Pending, or Not yet checked. While a connection is being set up, a provisioning indicator displays instead.
Account count The number of accounts or subscriptions covered by the connection. Select the count to open the Accounts modal, which lists each account with its own status: Healthy, Failing, Pending, or Not Configured (an account CloudBolt was deliberately not deployed to; not an error).
Actions Test Connection runs an on-demand health check. Manage opens the connection’s configuration. The … menu contains Disconnect.

Add a connection

Select Add Connection in the relevant provider section. Each provider has its own onboarding flow:

  • Connect AWS: Enter values from your CloudFormation stack outputs.
  • Connect Azure: A guided OAuth onboarding wizard.
  • Connect GCP: A guided Google sign-in wizard or setup script.
