## Set up email

Go to **Admin** > **Email Settings**. The **Overview** tab lists the current values. Select **Edit** to change them.

| Setting | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **SMTP Host** | Empty | The mail server CMP relays through. |
| **SMTP Port** | `25` | The port on that server. |
| **SMTP Username**, **SMTP Password** | Empty | Credentials, if your mail server requires authentication. |
| **SMTP use TLS** | Disabled | Whether to encrypt the connection to the mail server. |
| **Email default from address** | Empty | The "from" address when the template does not set one. |
| **CB Admin E-mail** | Empty | Where CMP sends failure reports and other administrator alerts. Accepts a comma-separated list. |
| **Email on order completion** | Enabled | Whether every deployment order emails its requester when the order finishes. |

### Test the settings

**Send Test Email** sends a message to the administrator address:

- On the **Overview** tab, it tests the saved settings.
- In the **Edit** dialog, it tests the entered values without saving.

<div class="alert alert-info" role="alert">

If the CB Admin address is empty, CMP writes warnings to the log instead.
