Licensing options

CMP’s product license sets how many resources you can provision and when your license expires. CMP offers two options:

Free tier. Applied automatically when you install CMP. It is full-featured, supports up to 100 resources, and is valid for up to one year. No action is required to start using this license.

Paid license. Obtain a license from your account manager to provision more resources and extend your license period. Apply it as described in Apply a license.

If your license expires: CMP locks the appliance and directs administrators to the Product License page. Apply a current license to restore access; your configuration and data are preserved.

These are Django management commands, run through
manage.py
on the appliance. Every command accepts
--help
, which prints its usage and its full list of options.

Run a command

Connect to the appliance over SSH and switch to the root user.

sudo su -

The
-
gives you a root login shell with the environment
manage.py
expects.

Run the command by its full path.

/opt/cloudbolt/manage.py sync_vms_from_rh --help

Synchronize servers from a resource handler

/opt/cloudbolt/manage.py sync_vms_from_rh

Queues a Sync VMs job and prints the job ID and the path to the job’s log file. The job creates a server record for each VM it finds that CMP does not have, updates the power status and hardware of the records it already holds, and marks a record historical when its VM is no longer in the resource handler.
