# Export reports and data

> Get reports and data out of the CloudBolt Platform as documents, spreadsheets, or raw data

There are three ways to get information out of the platform:

- **Document exports:** Render a report as a PDF, PowerPoint, or Excel file, formatted like the on-screen report and suited to sharing with stakeholders.
- **Data exports:** Download the rows behind a table as CSV or JSON for your own analysis.
- **Scheduled email delivery:** Send a report to recipients automatically on a recurring cadence. See [Saved Reports](/docs/cbp/navigating-the-platform/saved-reports/).

## Export a report

1. Open the report: a Cost Explorer report, or a saved Cost, Detail, Kubernetes, or Summary report.
1. Select the export icon in the report header.
1. Choose a format. The export renders server-side and downloads when ready.

Available export formats by report type:

| Report | Formats |
| --- | --- |
| Cost Explorer / Cost report | **PDF**, **PowerPoint (.pptx)**, **Excel (.xlsx)**, **CSV**, **JSON** |
| Detail report | **PDF**, **CSV**, **JSON** |
| Summary report | **PDF**, **PowerPoint (.pptx)**, **Excel (.xlsx)**. Exports include the security & compliance pages, which do not appear on screen. See [Summary Report](/docs/cbp/navigating-the-platform/saved-reports/summary-report/). |
| Kubernetes report | **PDF**, **PowerPoint (.pptx)**, **Excel (.xlsx)** |

## Export data from analysis pages

Several analysis pages offer raw data downloads of the currently filtered view:

- **Resource Inventory:** CSV or JSON of the current resource list, from the export menu next to the filter bar.
- **Security:** CSV or JSON of the loaded findings or compliance rows, from the page header.
- **Tag Analysis:** CSV of the current tab's data (coverage by account, or recommendations).

## Deliver reports on a schedule

For recurring needs, schedule any saved report for email delivery (daily, weekly, or monthly, as PDF, PPTX, or XLSX) instead of exporting manually.
